We are a traditional but not hidebound parish of the Episcopal Church. We describe our Parish as a place where you will find traditional liturgy, lectionary-based preaching, and strong Christian education, along with family fellowship.

Our times of fellowship and outreach are empowered by the worship we have shared. The psalmist says: "O taste and see how gracious the Lord is."

The people of Ascension are a diverse and active group who share a love of the Lord along with a commitment to serving each other and our community. We are an inclusive family who gather at a Table where there is always room for one more - for you and your family. We invite you to join us at Ascension in doing just that in the worship of God.

Worship is the center of our common life at Ascension. Scripture is always emphasized in our worship. Sunday by Sunday we gather around the Lord's Table to share the Sacrement of the Eucharist according to the rich traditions of the Anglican Book of Common Prayer. At our early service at the Chapel, the service is said except for hymns on major feast days. At our later, family service, the organ and our choir lead us in majestic and moving music in praise of Almighty God.

On Wednesdays, a Sevice of Healing is celebrated at The Brick Church. This service includes Holy Communion. The healing and reconciling Sacraments of Holy Unction and Confession are available to the faithful on request.

Baptisms take place at the Easter Vigil or as part of the Sunday Liturgy on Pentecost, Ascension Day, or the Baptism of our Lord. Special seasons of the Church year are observed with special services. We proclaim that Jesus loves us and that we love him by putting prayer first in our Parish Life. We pray as a large group in worship. We pray the Daily Office as individuals and small groups holding before the Lord the special needs of the parish and her members, as well as our community and the world.

Every hour of every day our Chapel is open. It is a place for quiet prayer and meditation, a place where God is especially present for us.
